Ireland's Munster have edged Scarlets in Llanelli to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2011/12 Heineken Cup.
Scarlets fly-half Rhys Priestland added a penalty to an early Shingler try to put the home side ahead by ten in the early stages. Opposite number Ronan O'Gara responded by kicking a penalty on either side of Niall Ronan's try to take the lead at the interval.
Following the break, each side traded a couple of penalties apiece – O'Gara for Munster, Priestland and Jones for Scarlets – but the Welsh side were unable to stop the visitors leaving with the close win.
