Wales thrash France in Six Nations

Tries from Sam Warburton and George North lead Wales to a 27-6 win over France in the Six Nations.

Wales have cruised to a 27-6 win over France at the Millennium Stadium for their second victory in this year's Six Nations championship.

George North got the home side off to a strong start, scooping up a chip forward to add the opening try of the match with just over five minutes played.

Fullback Leigh Halfpenny missed the conversion, but was accurate with his five penalty attempts in the first half, ensuring that the defending champions had a healthy lead at the break.

Kicked efforts from Jean-Marc Doussain and Jules Plisson provided the visitors with their only points in the opening 40 minutes, and they were unable to add to their total after the break.

Both sides were reduced to 14 men for a 10-minute spell early in the second half, as Gethin Jenkins and Nicolas Mas were both sent to the sin bin for collapsing the scrum.

With just over 15 minutes left to play, Wales captain Sam Warburton put the result beyond doubt, desperately reaching for the line to add the home side's second of the game, allowing Wales to coast to full time.
