Exiles narrowly beat Worcester
Ian Humphries kicks a late penalty to give London Irish a 20-18 win over Worcester Warriors this afternoon.

London Irish have secured a narrow 20-18 win over Worcester Warriors in the Aviva Premiership.

David Lemi helped the home side open up an early lead, but the Exiles finished the first half strongly, as Marland Yarde powered over the line to tie up the scores at the interval.

Yarde added a second shortly after the restart, but Ignacio Mieres was able to restore Worcester's lead with just over 10 minutes left to play, although he was unable to add the conversion.

Ian Humphries punished Mieres's miss six minutes later as he kicked a penalty for the visitors, securing a two-point victory for the London side.

The win is the team's first of the season.
