Vitaly Fokeev claims Russian Federation's 25th gold medal at European Games

Russian Federation's impressive showing at the inaugural European Games continues as Vitaly Fokeev claims gold in the men's double trap at the Baku Shooting Centre.

Vitaly Fokeev has taken gold for Russian Federation in the men's double trap at Baku 2015.

The 47-year-old former world champion hit 29 of his 30 targets to edge out Hungary's Richard Bognar in the event's final.

British shooter Steven Scott had earlier missed out on a place in the bronze-medal match, which was contested by Antonino Barilla and Andreas Loew.

It was Italy's Barilla who prevailed in that one, beating his German opponent by 29 points to 28 to secure his place on the podium at the Baku Shooting Centre.

Fokeev's success takes Russia's medal tally up to 45 for these inaugural European Games.
