Serbia's Andrea Arsovic holds off a late charge from Sarah Hornung of Switzerland to claim gold in the women's 10m air rifle at the European Games.

Serbia's Andrea Arsovic has claimed a narrow win over Sarah Hornung of Switzerland to secure the gold medal in the women's 10m air rifle event at the European Games.

The Swiss shooter had been near the bottom of the leaderboard early on, but the 19-year-old rallied, tying Arsovic's score with one shot remaining.

The Serb finished the event with a score of 207.8, beating the teenager by 0.1 points to win the event after making a narrowly better final shot, while Germany's Barbara Engleder finished third to complete the podium.

Croatia's Snjezana Pejcic had set the pace early on in the final, but a couple of mistakes saw her finish just outside the medal positions.
