Steve Scott grabs Great Britain's fifth shooting quota place for Rio 2016

Steve Scott claims Great Britain's fifth shooting quota place for the Rio 2016 Olympics.

Steve Scott has earned Great Britain's fifth shooting quota place for the Rio 2016 Olympics after claiming silver at the Gabala 2015 World Cup.

The Brit grabbed a place in the gold-medal match against American Walton Eller after shooting 30/30 targets in the semi-finals.

Scott was unable to take the title as he finished the match on 26/30, but he has expressed pride in qualifying for the Olympic Games.

"It feels amazing after all my hard work and dedication, it's finally paid off after coming so close a number of times," Scott told Sportsbeat. "I have spent a lot of hours on the range with my coach, travelling to the correct ranges and practising in high pressure situations."

Amber Hill, Ed Ling, Elena Allen and Jennifer McIntosh have also secured quota places for Rio.
