Ten Chinese snooker players face charges relating to match-fixing after a WPBSA investigation, a statement has revealed.

The WPBSA has announced that it has handed charges to all 10 Chinese players who have been investigated for match-fixing.

Last month, it was revealed that former Masters champion Yan Bingtao had been suspended from the World Snooker Tour due to an ongoing investigation.

That development came just days after five other players - Lu Ning, Li Hang, Zhao Jianbo, Bai Langning and Chang Bingyu - had all been suspended for similar reasons.

A further four Chinese representatives in Liang Wenbo, Zhao Xintong, Zhang Jiankang and Chen Zifan took the total of players being investigated into double figures.

On Wednesday morning, it was revealed in an official statement by the WPBSA that each of those concerned "have a case to answer".

The statement also gave a full account of charges relating to each player, starting with Wenbo who is said to have attempted to "obstruct the investigation".

It read: "Liang Wenbo has been charged with being concerned in fixing matches and approaching players to fix matches on the World Snooker Tour, seeking to obstruct the investigation and failing to cooperate with the WPBSA investigation.

"Li Hang has been charged with being concerned in fixing matches and approaching players to fix matches on the World Snooker Tour, seeking to obstruct the investigation and betting on snooker matches.

"Lu Ning has been charged with fixing a match and being concerned in fixing matches and approaching a player to fix a match on the World Snooker Tour, seeking to obstruct the investigation and betting on snooker matches.

"Yan Bingtao has been charged with fixing matches on the World Snooker Tour and betting on snooker.

"Zhao Xintong has been charged with being concerned in fixing matches on the World Snooker Tour and betting on snooker.

"Zhang Jiankang has been charged with fixing a match on the World Snooker Tour, failing to report approaches for him to fix matches and betting on snooker matches.

A formal hearing will now be arranged in due course, with all 10 players remaining suspended and unable to attend any World Snooker Tour tournaments.
