Team England's Francesca Halsall wins gold in the women's 50m butterfly to claim her second gold medal of the Commonwealth Games.

Team England's Francesca Halsall has won her second gold of the Commonwealth Games, finishing first in the women's 50m butterfly in Glasgow tonight.

The 24-year-old led from the front in the race and powered to victory in a time of 25.20 seconds to break the Games record.

Arianna Vanderpool Wallace from the Bahamas placed in second to win silver, while Australia's Brittany Elmslie won the bronze with a time of 25.91s.

England's Amy Smith narrowly missed out on a medal as she finished in fourth.
