Scotland's Cameron Brodie swam a personal best time to win his heat and qualify for tonight's butterfly 200m final in the Commonwealth Games.
The Scot recorded a lifetime best 1:57:28 and beat Olympic gold medallist Chad le Clos - nicknamed 'the Phelps-slayer' after beating USA legend Michael Phelps in London 2012 - to move into tonight's final with a morale boost.
Meanwhile, England's Roberto Pavoni will also contest a podium finish later on today despite finishing eighth in the qualifier.
The final is scheduled to take place at 7.07pm.
