Great Britain's Paralympic swimmer Josef Craig has admitted that he was completely unaware of breaking the world record until he saw his feat show up on the scoreboard.
Craig smashed the world record, which was set by his compatriot Jonathan Fox, in a time of 4:45.79 in the men's S7 400m freestyle heat.
"I didn't even know what I'd done 'til it said world record," Craig told Channel 4. "I want out fast and thought, 'Oh, I'm going to muck this up again,' but then I thought have a bit of fun with it."
Meanwhile, Fox also managed to qualify for the final by winning his respective heat.
