Team England's Paul Drinkhall has revealed that he is determined to go one better than four years ago and win gold in the men's team table tennis at the Commonwealth Games.
The team – consisting of Drinkhall, Liam Pitchford and Andrew Baggaley – have reached the quarter-finals of the event in Glasgow after winning all three of their matches.
Drinkhall has admitted that he wants to beat the silver medal he won in Delhi four years ago and win gold in Glasgow.
He told reporters: "It would be fantastic to get a gold. The year we've had so far with me winning the Spanish Open, coming back from injury and then Liam going up in the rankings, everyone else improving and going through their own pathways to here, it would be amazing.
"Any medal would be great but we're definitely looking for gold this year."
Drinkhall and his teammates haven't dropped a set so far in the Games.
