Mahama Cho misses out on bronze following defeat to Brazil's Maicon Siqueira

Great Britain's Mahama Cho misses out on a bronze medal after falling to a defeat against Brazil's Maicon Siqueira in the men's +80kg third-place taekwondo event in Rio.

Great Britain's Mahama Cho has missed out on a bronze medal in the men's +80kg third-place taekwondo event at the 2016 Olympics in Rio this evening.

Cho fell to a late defeat at the hands of Brazilian practitioner Maicon Siqueira, who claimed third place with a 5-4 victory.

It looked as though Britain's Cho might just snatch a bronze, but he was undone by a last-gasp back flick which pushed the Brazilian into a vital lead.

Earlier in the evening Team GB were able to clinch another medal in the taekwondo, though, as Bianca Walkden sealed a bronze in the women's +67kg.
