Jo-Wilfried Tsonga hopeful over ATP World Tour Finals qualification

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga reveals that he is remaining calm over his chances of qualifying for next month's ATP World Tour Finals in London.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has revealed that he is remaining calm about the possibility of qualifying for next month's ATP World Tour Finals in London.

The world number 11 is among a number of players, including Roger Federer and Juan Martin del Potro, who are trying to fill the last four places at the tournament.

Tsonga, who was sidelined for most of the summer with a knee injury, reached round three of the Shanghai Masters on Wednesday with a comfortable 6-3 6-2 win over Spain's Pablo Andujar.

"I'm trying to take the tournament step-by-step," he told the ATP's official website.

"I'm thinking about my body, trying to stay healthy, find my level, and maybe I will have a chance [to qualify for London]."

Next up for Tsonga in Shanghai is an encounter with Japanese 12th seed Kei Nishikori.
