Jo-Wilfried Tsonga eases past Pablo Andujar

France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga beats Pablo Andujar in straight sets to move through to the third round of the Shanghai Masters.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has progressed through to the third round of the Shanghai Masters with a comfortable win over Pablo Andujar.

The number seven seed had too much power for the world number 55 and quickly sealed a 6-3 6-2 triumph.

The Frenchman, who is continuing his comeback from a knee injury, dropped just two points on his first serve in moving one away from a place in the next round.

The 28-year-old continued to dominate from the back of the court in the second set, breaking Andujar three times to record the win in 65 minutes.

He will now play the winner of the match between Kei Nishikori and Jurgen Melzer.
