Tim Henman has revealed that he has scrapped plans to follow Great Britain to the Davis Cup final in Belgium amid increasing fears of a terror attack in the country.
Brussels will maintain its highest terror alert level - indicating a "serious and imminent" attack - on Monday as public transport and schools shut down.
Ghent, roughly 40 miles from the capital, has a threat level of three and this week's international team tennis event is expected to go ahead.
Henman, the married father of three daughters, told the Daily Mail: "I was going to go but I am not going any more. I was going to take the three girls, I was going to go with my family.
"With the train and the going over there, I just thought: 'Is it really worth the hassle for them?' So we are going to be watching at home."
The British team delayed their trip by 24 hours after electing to travel by a private plane as opposed to the Eurostar.
