The French Open final between Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer has been disrupted by protesters.

A number of people had to be escorted away by security after causing a disturbance during the second set of the match in Paris.

One fan then made his way towards Nadal on Court Philippe Chatrier while holding a flare before being caught.

The Spaniard went on to beat his fellow countryman 6-3 6-2 6-3 to clinch a record eighth title at the tournament.
