Andy Murray has admitted that he failed to produce his best tennis during his 4-6 7-5 6-3 defeat to Milos Raonic at the Indian Wells Masters.
The British number one conceded that he was in poor form during the deciding set, in which the Canadian broke his serve twice to clinch the match.
"To get broken two consecutive times in that situation isn't good enough," BBC Sport quotes him as saying. "I played poor tennis at that stage. I didn't make enough balls and missed easy shots."
Murray also downplayed suggestions that he is still struggling with his fitness after undergoing back surgery in September, insisting that he is "match tight".
He added: "Right now I'm not pulling up after matches stiff or sore or anything like that, so I think I'm match fit and match tight."
Murray will next compete in the Sony Open in Miami, which commences on March 17.
