Defending champion Roger Federer has advanced to the quarter-finals of the Rotterdam Open.
The Swiss maestro - a two-time winner of the ATP 500 event - took just one hour and three minutes to wrap up a 6-3 6-4 victory over Thiemo de Bakker.
"I'm happy, the conditions are very quick and Thiemo is a dangerous opponent," Federer told reporters.
"I'm glad to go through and be in the quarter-finals again. It was a good win."
The world number two will now play Julien Benneteau.
