Angelique Kerber beats Madison Keys in straight sets to set up a final against Tsvetana Pironkova at the Sydney International.

Angelique Kerber has reached the final of the Sydney International with a straight-sets victory over Madison Keys.

The 25-year-old German won the semi-final contest 6-4 6-2 to set up a clash with Tsvetana Pironkova in the final.

Kerber won the first set 6-4 and claimed the second 6-2 with ease to retain her chances of winning the tournament.

She broke her American opponent five times during the match.
