Rafael Nadal is edging closer to the Barcelona Open title after seeing off Albert Ramos 6-3 6-0 to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
The Spaniard responded to his lacklustre performance from today's third-round victory over Benoit Paire, by snatching an early break of serve to hand him control of the tie.
While Ramos tried to impose his game in the quarter-final clash, Nadal looked more comfortable on the court with powerful forehands and quick returns to secure a one-set lead.
Nadal continued to dominate in the second by cruising to a 6-0 win, leaving his fellow countryman unable to hold his serve and try to launch a comeback.
Nadal will battle either Milos Raonic or Tommy Robredo for a place in the final.
