Caroline Wozniacki is into the third round at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, Florida after defeating Barbora Zahlavova-Strycova in straight sets.
The world number six had to fight hard in the opening set as she snatched a break of serve to give herself a 3-1 lead.
Zahlavova-Strycova broke back straight away before the Dane regained the initiative with another break of serve as both players failed to get a hold on the match.
The world number 44 continued to press, and she was rewarded with her second break of an increasingly tight set.
Zahlavova-Strycova served at 4-5 to with a chance to draw herself level, but Wozniacki grabbed the decisive third break to take the set 6-4.
The former world number one proved too much for Zahlavova-Strycova in the second as she brushed her opponent aside to claim the set 6-0 and progress into the next round.
