Roger Federer has booked his place in the third round of the Shanghai Masters thanks to a comfortable straight-sets win over Italy's Andreas Seppi.
The fifth seed, who is yet to secure a spot at next month's ATP World Tour Finals in London, came through 6-4 6-3 against the world number 17.
The 32-year-old Swiss now has 10 straight victories to his name against Seppi.
Federer will take on French world number 42 Gael Monfils for the right to make it into the quarter-finals.
