British hopeful Johanna Konta has insisted that she is feeling lucky at getting the chance to face Petra Kvitova in the fourth round of the US Open in New York.
Konta capped off an already impressive showing at Flushing Meadows to beat Andrea Petkovic to reach the last 16, and the 24-year-old has since stated that she is looking forward to the opportunity of facing two-time Wimbledon champion Kvitova on Tuesday.
"A two-time Grand Slam champion, I'm feeling pretty lucky that I get an opportunity to play against such a player," said Konta, according to BBC Sport.
Konta will replace Heather Watson as Britain's number one in the women's game if she beats Kvitova.
