Rain showers see the players leave the courts at Flushing Meadows after just ten minutes of play.

Rain has interrupted play for the second consecutive day at the US Open in New York.

No play was possible yesterday after tournament officials made the decision to postpone both the day and evening sessions at Flushing Meadows.

Three matches commenced at 5.30pm UK time today, but the players were called off just ten minutes later as rain started to fall.

When the players return, the matches will resume at David Ferrer 1-3 Andy Roddick, Gilles Muller 3-0 Rafael Nadal and Donald Young 2-1 Andy Murray.

All encounters are in the opening set.
