Novak Djokovic eases into round four

Top seed Novak Djokovic eases past Sam Querry 6-3 6-2 6-2 to advance through to round four of the US Open.

Novak Djokovic has made light work of Sam Querry to progress through to round four of the US Open.

The world number one eased past his lowly-ranked opponent in straight sets in New York to set up a meeting with Philipp Kohlschreiber or John Isner.

Querry lost serve on two occasions in the opening set, allowing Djokovic to power into a 5-0 lead which he eventually converted into a 6-3 set score.

Djokovic broke his opponent on three occasions in the second to once more secure a straightforward 6-2 success.

It was a similar outcome in the final set with top seed Djokovic showing his strength to prevail 6-2 and complete the straight-sets victory.
