Caroline Wozniacki reaches semis of WTA Finals with third victory

Caroline Wozniacki reaches the semi-finals of the WTA Finals by beating Petra Kvitova in straight sets.

Caroline Wozniacki has qualified from the White Group in the WTA Finals in Singapore following a 6-2 6-3 victory over Petra Kvitova.

The Dane has reached the semi-finals in her final round-robin match by grabbing three straight wins.

Both players took an early break of serve, but Wozniacki was able to take a hold of the match with three further breaks to snatch a commanding lead.

Kvitova struck back in the second set by stealing Wozniacki's opening service game on her third break-point opportunity.

However, the momentum eventually swung back in Wozniacki's direction as Kvitova lost her serve twice in the set, which allowed the Dane to successfully serve for the match.

The result also means that Agnieszka Radwanska has qualified for the next round, despite losing to Maria Sharapova earlier today.
