GB water polo coach Nick Buller pleased after first win

GB water polo head coach Nick Buller tells Sports Mole that he is pleased but cautious after the side register their first win of the European Games.

Nick Buller has said that he is pleased after watching his GB water polo squad register their first win of the European Games, but has warned of an "extremely hard" final prelim match tomorrow.

The team had suffered three straight defeats in Baku but earned their first three points today with a 13-9 win over fellow strugglers Israel.

"We're pleased with the win but we know we can do much better than we saw," Buller told Sports Mole immediately after the match. "We're disappointed with our conversion. We'll look at the video and look to put it right for our next game."

The final group stage game tomorrow sees GB face Hungary, who are among the favourites for gold in the tournament.

"They're a fantastic team," said Buller. "It's going to be another extremely hard game. If we play like we played today, it's going to be a horrible game, but if we can build on the way we played against Holland, then it's something to look forward to."

The game gets underway on Tuesday at 2pm UK time.
