Team GB's David Murdoch targets 2018 success

Great Britain's David Murdoch says that he could feature in the men's curling team at the 2018 Winter Games.

David Murdoch has hinted that he could be part of Team GB's curling team for the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The 35-year-old skip led his side to the silver medal at the Sochi Games, as Great Britain suffered a 9-3 defeat to Canada in the men's final on Friday.

"We had to force some pressure early and we let them gain confidence," he told Team GB's official website. "We didn't have a very good third end and that was the game changer.

"Maybe our adrenaline was pumping too much. It's an Olympic final and we're a young team. We felt confident but it wasn't to be.

"Maybe this is the start of something special for this team. Now I've had the silver maybe I should come back and try for a gold."

Britain have won four medals in Sochi so far.
