David Murdoch: 'Winning silver medal scarily cool'

Team GB curling skip David Murdoch says that winning a silver medal at the Winter Olympics is "scarily cool", despite being disappointed at missing out on gold.

Great Britain's men's curling skip David Murdoch has described winning a silver medal at the Winter Olympics as being "scarily cool".

Murdoch's side lost 9-3 in today's final against Canada, going 5-1 down early on to essentially put an end to their hopes of Olympic gold.

"We just never got off to a good start," Murdoch told BBC Sport. "We were struggling after three, and when you go 5-1 down to a team of that calibre it's extremely difficult to come back.

"I'm disappointed now but a silver medal is scarily cool. I think I'll appreciate it in about 10 minutes!"

Team GB have won four medals at the Sochi Games so far.
