The International Ski Federation has decided to conduct training runs prior to the scheduled start of the Olympic snowboarding men's half-pipe first qualification run which, as it stands, is still expected for 10am GMT.
Based on the outcome of those training runs, the FIS will determine whether or not to delay the start of the half-pipe because of poor conditions.
"Warm temperatures have softened the snow, while some have questioned the build quality, with Winter X Games half-pipe experts overlooked in the design and construction phase," BBC Sport reports.
Speaking on Monday, United States snowboarder and double gold medallist Shaun White told reporters: "I'm hoping they can do whatever they can to make it a better pipe."
