Steven Holcomb has said that the United States' success in the bobsleigh events at the Winter Olympics is "huge".
The pilot secured the bronze in the two-man and the four-man competitions, giving the country their first medal in the pairs' event for 62 years.
The 33-year-old told NBC Sports: "We've caught up, but the catch is we've got to keep moving forward. Right now I can guarantee you that the teams that didn't medal today have already started thinking about what they're going to do.
"Right now, to have a medal in every event, that's huge. That really builds momentum. It's really brought this sport out in the United States."
America's sliding teams picked up seven medals in total in Sochi.
