United States snowboarder Kaitlyn Farrington has won gold in the women's snowboard half-pipe competition at the Winter Olympics.
The 24-year-old, who is competing in her first Winter Games, scored 91.75 on her second run to secure victory.

Australia's Torah Bright, who won gold at the Vancouver Games in 2010, claimed the silver medal with a score of 91.50.
Farrington's compatriot Kelly Clark, who entered the competition as the favourite, posted a score of 90.75 to take bronze. Despite scoring just 48.25 on her first attempt following a fall, Clark moved up into a medal position with her second run.
Hannah Teter completed an impressive showing from the USA as she took fourth place.
