Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians has said that he believes his side can be the first time in the history of the NFL to contest a Super Bowl in their own stadium.
Super Bowl XLIX will take place at the Cardinals' University of Phoenix Stadium next February, and despite no team ever playing a 'home' game as a season finale, Arians is confident that his team can break the mould.
He told the team's official website: "There is no reason we can't be the first team to play a home Super Bowl. Absolutely no reason.
"I ain't afraid of it. We played well at the end of last season. If we can do that early, the confidence of the core of the team is back. Our leadership is back.
"We are talented enough. Talent is not the issue. I told them that last year but they didn't believe me until it was too late."
The Cardinals ended last season strongly, inflicting defeat on eventual Super Bowl champions the Seattle Seahawks.
