The Arizona Cardinals have placed running back Jonathan Dwyer on the reserve/non-football illness list, effectively ending his season.
The move comes as the fifth-year player was arrested on Wednesday afternoon by Phoenix police on allegations of aggravated assault for two separate incidents.
It has also been reported that the Cardinals are to assess Dwyer's mental health, with NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport taking to Twitter to reveal the news:

In response to the move, the team have re-signed Jalen Parmele to their active roster.
