The Atlanta Falcons have reportedly been monitoring Brandon Flowers following his release from the Kansas City Chiefs.
The AFC West side announced yesterday that the cornerback, who signed a $50m (£29.5m) six-year contract with the team in 2011, had been cut.
NFL Network reports that former Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli, who is now with the Falcons, has been keeping an eye on Flowers this off-season with a view to signing him if he became available.
Flowers made 68 tackles and a sack with the Chiefs last season.
