John Harbaugh "pretty impressed" by Dennis Pitta progress

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh says that tight end Dennis Pitta is doing a good job as he continues to recover from a dislocated and fractured hip.

John Harbaugh has said that he is "pretty impressed" by Dennis Pitta's progress as he recovers from a hip injury.

The Baltimore Ravens tight end, who is currently on the injured reserve - designated for return list, dislocated and fractured his hip during the team's pre-season training camp.

The head coach told reporters: "I'll be honest with you, I'm pretty impressed. He's running quite a bit in here on these machines, and as you said, he's out here catching passes.

"That's a ways away, time-wise. Every time I see Dennis, I guess I have mixed emotions. I'm happy that he's doing so well, and I'm not happy that he's not already out there playing right now. He's doing a good job."

It was initially feared that Pitta, who recorded 669 receiving yards and scored seven touchdowns last season, would miss the entire 2013 season.
