Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has revealed that cornerback Lardarius Webb will be rested for his side's first two pre-season games.
Webb has missed the last seven practice sessions after sustaining a back injury during his side's training camp, and Harbaugh feels that a cautious approach is the best way to deal with the injury.
"Maybe he'll play in the third, maybe not. It's really not that important for him. I want to get him right," Harbaugh told reporters.
"There are things going on in there that aren't long-term things. This early part of camp, I just don't want to put him through this with his back.
"I would rather keep him out of this first part of training camp and see how it feels more toward the end of camp."
The Ravens begin their regular season campaign against the Cincinnati Bengals on September 7.
