Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone has confirmed that quarterback EJ Manuel will be out for a "few weeks".
Manuel injured his right leg during his side's 37-24 defeat to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday as he ran out of the pocket to pick up a first down.
"EJ Manuel has a lateral collateral ligament, an LCL, which is non-surgical," Marrone said in a press conference.
"We think it'll be a few weeks and we'll re-evaluate him then. Obviously we expect him back somewhere during the season."
Manuel was replaced by backup Jeff Tuel, who threw a late interception into the hands of Browns safety TJ Ward, who returned the ball for a touchdown to seal his side's win.
