Cleveland Browns general manager Ray Farmer has insisted that owner Jimmy Haslam did not influence any of the franchise's decisions in the NFL Draft.
As well as adding defensive cornerstone Justin Gilbert, the Browns picked up quarterback Johnny Manziel, a selection that dominated the headlines.
"I can tell you with 100% certainty that Jimmy Haslam at no point demanded, requested, tried to influence the process in any way," Farmer said, NFL.com reports.
Farmer revealed that Haslam did ask questions and shared his opinion on certain matters, but he left the decision-making process to the football staff.
