Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has admitted that his rookie season was "a disaster".
The 22-year-old arrived with a big reputation after he threw 67 touchdowns in two college seasons, but he struggled both on and off the pitch in 2014.
Manziel started just twice and failed to throw a touchdown, while he admitted himself into rehab at the end of the campaign to deal with "personal problems."
Speaking at a press conference, he said: "Last year was, in my mind, for me personally, a disaster. I didn't come out and perform, and that's what it comes down to. I think it's even my fault. The way that I've built myself up, I set myself up for a little bit of failure in that regard."
Manziel was the 22nd pick in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
