Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks coach impressed with Johnny Manziel

Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel impresses Dallas Cowboys QB coach Wade Wilson at his pro day workout.

Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson has admitted that he was impressed by the performance of Draft prospect Johnny Manziel on his pro day workout on Thursday.

Wilson said that Manziel has a very well-rounded game for a college quarterback and in particular was impressed with the speed of the 21-year-old's arm.

"He played under centre on all the throws," Wilson told the Cowboys' official website. "He showed movement throws, he showed drop-back throws, quicks, and he threw the ball all over the field.

"So I was very impressed. He was very accurate and had plenty of velocity on the throws, as well. I saw him at the Combine, where he didn't throw, so this is my first time to really see him throw in person - just wanted to see his arm strength. He has plenty of arm strength to play, no question about that."

Manziel's college team was the Texas A&M Aggies.
