Report: Jordy Nelson fit for Green Bay Packers opener

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson will reportedly be fit for his side's regular season opener against the San Francisco 49ers.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson will be fit to play in his side's season opener against the San Francisco 49ers, according to a report.

The 28-year-old underwent knee surgery in early August and as a result missed the majority of his side's training camp and pre-season games.

However, he has made strides in his recovery and returned to practice this week and is preparing to face Jim Harbaugh's side in the Packers' season opener on Sunday, reports ProFootballTalk.com.

Nelson played in 12 games last season and recorded 49 receptions and seven touchdowns.
