Aaron Rodgers: 'Impossible to copy Seattle Seahawks defense'

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers believes that it is "unrealistic" to expect teams to be able to replicate the Seattle Seahawks' defense.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has admitted that replicating the defensive style of the Seattle Seahawks is "impossible" for most teams in the league.

The Seahawks won the Super Bowl for the first time in their history this season, with their championship-winning team built on a strong defense.

Rodgers admitted that the Packers needed to improve and highlighted the Seahawks as the standard they should strive for, but acknowledged that it would be "unrealistic" to expect that to happen within the next few seasons.

"With all due respect, I don't think it's possible to play at that kind of level for many other teams in this league, if any. That's a talented group that's one of the top that's been around the league for a long time," Rodgers told ESPN.

"I don't think that should be our goal. We do need to improve on both sides of the ball, but that team has a unique mixture of secondary talent that's as good a group in the league as you can see and then a front seven that really plays well together.

"It should maybe be the standards we're going for, but it might be a little unrealistic to think of any defense being as good as that for the next couple years."

The Packers finished top of the NFC North last season with an 8-7-1 record.
