Scott Tolzien has stated the importance of preparing properly ahead of his first start for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
The third-year quarterback will step in for the team this weekend against the New York Giants, while first-choice Aaron Rodgers is injured.
"The preparation week is where you make your hay," Tolzien told Packers.com. "You have to win the week first. That's where a lot of the wins and losses come.
"It's how you approach the week leading up to the game. That's the best way to combat pressure, to prepare the right way.
"It's been a wild couple of weeks but it's part of the job and my focus remains the same."
The Packers currently sit in third in the NFC North, but still maintain hopes of a playoff place.
