Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has revealed that his match-winning touchdown against the Tennessee Titans yesterday was one that he had practised with quarterback Matt Schaub during training.
Hopkins replaced Andre Johnson in the fourth quarter and went on to catch a three-yard pass from Schaub in the end zone to give his side an overtime 30-24 win.
The 21-year-old rookie made the most of a one-on-one situation against Jason McCourty to catch what he described as a "perfect" pass from Schaub.
"Any time I see a one-on-one, that's a wide receiver's dream. He put it in the perfect position for me to go up and catch it," Hopkins told The AP. "We practice that basically every day and practice makes perfect."
The Texans have won their opening two games of the new season, while the Titans are now 1-1.
