Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub has admitted that he was disappointed to hear that some of his own fans cheered when he went down injured against the St Louis Rams.
Schaub was forced to leave Sunday's game, which the Texans went on to lose 38-13, with an ankle injury in the third quarter, prompting some sections of the home support to cheer due to his poor form in recent matches.
The 32-year-old revealed that he wasn't aware of fans' reaction at the time, but was upset that they acted that way when he was told about it after the match.
"I'd hate to think anyone out there, regardless of who was injured - on our team, on the visiting team, whatever the situation is - that people would be like that and act that way," Schaub told Sports Radio 610.
"There's no place for that in this game and there just really isn't."
The Texans have lost their last four matches and currently sit third in the AFC South ahead of this weekend's match against the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs.
