Indianapolis Colts' Trent Richardson: "I'll be ready to go"

Indianapolis Colts' Trent Richardson feels that his is ready to become his side's primary running back a week after his trade from the Cleveland Browns.

Indianapolis Colts running back Trent Richardson has said that he feels "ready" to become his side's number one ball carrier this Sunday.

The Colts traded their 2014 first-round Draft pick for the 22-year-old and he played a limited role in their win over the San Francisco 49ers last week.

However, an injury to primary running back Ahmad Bradshaw has forced Chuck Pagano to turn to Richardson despite only having a basic knowledge of their playbook.

"There's still going to be a lot of help. Andrew [Luck] and Donald [Brown] will help me out a lot," Richardson told the club's official website.

"We all have been on the same page. I've been learning the game plan every day, sticking my face in that playbook, a few hours after practice, an hour before practice, after meetings.

"I've been studying hard. I feel I'm ready to go for it. When they call my name, I'll be ready to go."

The Colts face the Jacksonville Jaguars in week four.
