The Kansas City Chiefs have been left sweating over the fitness of Jamaal Charles after the running back was forced to limp out of training yesterday.
Charles suffered what is believed to be a strained foot during an 11-on-11 training session and was immediately withdrawn and taken to the treatment room.
However, coach Andy Reid is confident that the injury is not too serious and revealed that the 26-year-old was only taken off as a precaution.
"We'll just see how he does. Precautionary measures," Reid said, according to The AP.
"We'll see how he does here in the next little bit, see where he's at as far as pain or swelling. We'll see how he does."
Charles is currently the NFL's all-time leader in career average yards-per-carry with 5.79.
