Minnesota Vikings quarterback Josh Freeman has admitted that he was "too fired up" on his debut for Leslie Frazier's side.
Freeman had a 37% completion rate in his side's defeat to the New York Giants on Monday and a threw one costly interception.
The 25-year-old also sustained a concussion and will miss his side's game with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
"Looking back, maybe I was a little too fired up at first," Freeman told ESPN.
"There's definitely a lot of correctable things, things that going into the game I would've banked on me being able to complete or get done on the field, but at the same time we weren't able to do so, so I'm moving forward and just got to find a way to be better prepared."
The Vikings are 1-5 in their season going into week eight.
