Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman has assured Leslie Frazier that his job is safe for the 2014 NFL season.
The former Chicago Bears defensive back joined the team as defensive coordinator in 2007 before being promoted to head coach in 2010.
Spielman told NBC Sports: "Leslie Frazier is not going anywhere. I am telling you that we are very committed to Leslie Frazier and this coaching staff. And we're committed to our players, and everybody is working extremely hard to get this thing turned around.
"I know by the end of the year we should definitely have idea on what direction if we have a franchise quarterback on this roster right now, or do we have to go into the draft potentially and look for a franchise quarterback, or where do we go at the end of the season.
"But if you don't have them in your building to get a fair assessment and true evaluation, this will give you a clearer picture of the direction you have to go at the end of the year."
Frazier led the Vikings to the playoffs last season, but the team have won just once so far in 2013.
